Me and my group spent the most unforgettable day on the river with Jambia Tours. We waded through the lush mangroves to the village of Darankah where we visited the most awesome silk cotton tree which was then followed by a very tasty buffet lunch which was enjoyed by all. Annual Boat Trip - Dry Hire

I used Jambia Tours for my annual boat trip in December, and I couldn’t have been happier with the service they provided. From the very beginning, they were professional and accommodating, especially when it came to negotiating the price for dry boat hire and maintaining clear, consistent communication throughout the planning process.

The trip to Lamin Lodge and Dankara Island was a fantastic experience, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day. The team did a great job organising the smaller boats to transfer us over to the island, making the whole process smooth and stress-free.

What really stood out was their flexibility and customer care on the day. A few guests unfortunately missed the initial departure, but Jambia Tours quickly arranged a speedboat to bring them out to us, ensuring they didn’t miss out on the experience. That level of service was truly appreciated.

Overall, a reliable and professional company that I would definitely recommend and use again for future events.

Even the short boat ride to the KK island was a fun experience, including the boat’s initial, non starter; all good fun!

A heads up about taking sweets for the local children would have made everything complete!

Incredible Cultural Experience with Jambia Tours

I travelled to The Gambia with my 6 year old son for a cultural visit and choosing Jambia Tours was the best decision we made. From the very start, their team looked after us with genuine care and professionalism making us feel safe and welcome throughout our trip.

They arranged visits that gave us a real insight into Gambian culture from local markets and villages to historical sites and traditional food experiences. Everything was well organised but still felt relaxed and authentic. We felt safe and that helped us truly connect with the people and the culture.

What stood out most was how thoughtful and attentive our guides were. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure both my son and I enjoyed every moment.

Highly recommend for an enriching experience.
The staff were very welcoming and knowledgable. I really enjoyed how peaceful the river boat trip was and the food provided was lovely! It was also so interesting to learn about the historical significance of the elephant tree in the village of Daranka. Jambia tours definitely offered a perfect balance of relaxation, education, and cultural immersion.

We went to Baboon Island with Jambia Tours, and what a beautiful experience it was! We were picked up right on time by Abdoullie and his colleagues. First, we visited a market and then went to a peanut farm where we had the chance to help separate the peanuts from the plants. After that, we sailed to Baboon Island where we saw the chimpanzees. But first, we enjoyed a lunch by the Gambia River. In the evening, we sailed to George Town where we spent the night and enjoyed delicious food with the local people. The next morning, we had a tour of the Slave House in George Town, learning about the horrific history of the slave trade. We then visited a traditional village where we could see the local people's way of life.
All of this was under the excellent guidance of Jambia Tours, where we felt safe. Jambia is located on a side street off the main strip, but they truly added something special to our Gambia experience. Thank you, Abdoullie and staff! We will be back. Remember 50% of Jambia's profit goes to the community!

We went with Jambia tours to Lamin lodge and the murals in Galloya. We had a very nice cozy and well organized day with Aboulie, Ebrima (baby driver) and Sidat. She took good care of us on the way. We also received a lot of information about the sights and culture. We will be back soon and then we will definitely be back on the road with you.

I spent a wonderful day on the river with Jambia Tours. I had the pleasure of enjoying this trip with a few friends and it was everything we hoped for and more. We boarded the small but very comfortable baat in the morning and was greeted by the very friendly and professional crew who made us feel at home right away. The river was so calm and pretty. The pace was slow and was just what we needed., we spent hours chatting, taking pictures and enjoying our beautiful surroundings. The walk through the mangroves to the village of Daranka was exhilarating and was where we visited one of the oldest a silk Cotten trees in The Gambia. Once back on the boat we enjoyed the most delicious lunch before we had the opportunity to try our hand at fishing. The lazy day cruise was excellent and enjoyed by all, I highly recommend.

Excellent, well planned, informative trip - Roots Booked Roots tour with Jambia Tours as wanted to give the money to the locals. Excellent. informative trip, the guide organised everything so well, with no hold ups on the various forms of transport. Turned up on time at 7am, was always phoning ahead arranging cars to meet us off the boats etc, very knowledgeable and looked after us well. Would definitely recommend.

A great experience.. Excursion is not nominal my thing but if Jambia tours is anything to go by then your good to GO..Very reliable. Of course if like me if its your first time in the Gambia then Jamiba tours is right up your street, they make you feel relaxed and safe..Ride safely with Jambia tours wherever,prices are reasonable.Oh they also have boat rides..that's something worth enquiring about when your there..

Excellent Experience , Great Tours guides We had an amazing time with Jambia Tours in The Gambia. Our guide ABDUL & LAMIN very friendly guys knowledgeable, and made the experience feel truly authentic. We visited Monkey Park, Tanji Fish Market, Crocodile Park, a local farm, the beach, and Serukunda Market and we went to Senegal to walk with the lions — each stop was fascinating and memorable.

We felt completely safe and well looked after at all times. The guide went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable, engaged, and having a great time. The sights, stories, and local insights made the tour unforgettable.
